To inspire consumers to think about sustainable products, Design Museum Boston has partnered with the Wentworth Institute of Technology for the exhibit “Retail: Retell. Recycle. Rethink,’’ on display at the Prudential Center Huntington Arcade until Aug. 25. Design Museum cofounders Derek Cascio and Sam Aquillano and a crowd of 150 trickled into the pop-up exhibit Thursday night, which featured posters with images and facts on items like sneakers and cellphones, along with displays of eco-friendly alternatives for things like water bottles and cleaning fluids. The displays urge viewers to consider where their belongings were made, how they can be wasteful, and to donate or recycle them. After the opening, guests headed to Dillon’s on Boylston Street for an after-party with the designers and local design companies.![]()
