
The financial crisis and government bailout plan have brought greater scrutiny to the pay packages of chief executives and senior managers. President Obama announced plans to put a $500,000-a-year limit on the salaries of CEOs whose companies dip into the government's financial rescue fund.
While most companies wouldn't be affected by such a cap, executive pay will likely remain under the microscope as the value of publicly traded companies declines. Here's a list of the 10 highest-paid CEOs in Massachusetts, based on 2007 data collected by the AFL-CIO.
