Care.com chief executive Sheila Marcelo is one of many female founders and entrepreneurs setting the pace of innovation in Massachusetts.

On Quora, someone asked who Boston’s best women entrepreneurs are. Claire Wadlington, partner CFO at FA Technology Ventures; Jeff Bussgang at Flybridge Capital; Ray DeMeo, a former executive of EqualLogic; and Bobbie Carlton, who organizes Mass Innovation Nights, all weighed in with some smart picks. The picks include:

— Helen Greiner—iRobot, CyPhyWorks

— Lucy McQuilken—Chaoticom / Groove Mobile

— Janet Aronica, Shareaholic

— Laura Fitton, oneforty cofounder (now with Hubspot)

— Gail Goodman, Constant Contact CEO

— Bettina Hein, Pixability founder/CEO

— Diane Hessan, Communispace (The Hive’s video with her)

— Barb Finer, TechSandBox
