This week’s episode of The Innovators profiles PatientsLikeMe, a Cambridge-based start-up that helps patients connect with others who have the same disease, helping swap tips, advice, and encouragement in a safe environment. PatientsLikeMe’s Paul Wicks had previously been named one of MIT Technology Review’s innovators under 35, and the Globe’s Michael Farrell had previously profiled them as one of several companies looking to create smaller, niche-driven social networks.
