Wondering what life is like on the other side of the smartphone when you e-hail a cab? Taxi service start-up Hailo surveyed 200 local cab drivers about their day-to-day experiences.

The results aren’t exactly encouraging: Boston appears to be a relatively stingy city, according to Hailo, with the average tip clocking in at 10 to 15 percent, compared to 22 percent in New York. Worse yet, 70 percent of drivers reported that they’d had a passenger try and skip out on the fare at least once a month. Not to mention all the encounters with backseat brawls local cabbies have seen.

I’ve included the infographic below, but check out Hailo’s blog post for more interesting taxi stats.
