Transparency activist Carl Malamud unredacts names from Aaron Swartz FBI files

Last week, the FBI released Aaron Swartz’ files, witholding two pages and redacting most names.

Daniel Wright, of Firedoglake, also requested Swartz’ files and wrote to let me know that Carl Malamud, a transparency activist and friend of Swartz, has gone through the files and done some fill-in-the-blanks with numerous redactions the agency had done, including adding back in his own name.
