A new TV ad for UGG for Men that stars Tom Brady of the New England Patriots started airing Monday, said M&C Saatchi, the Los Angeles-based ad agency that created the ad.
Titled “Pink Slip” and premiering on ESPN, ESPN2, and NFL Network, a TV ad features Brady, a football rookie, and the Ascot, a popular slipper in the UGG for Men line. According to UGG, this sheepskin-lined slipper is an “icon of casual elegance.” The icon generally retails from $110 to $130, and the Ascot has been a popular holiday gift item, M&C Saatchi said.
The ad opens with an anxious rookie in the locker room. This is the day that he will learn his fate --- Will he make the team? Or will he be handed a pink slip?
Brady’s latest UGG for Men campaign will also include print ads, online videos, and mobile and social network components, M&C Saatchi said.
Brady has been a spokesman for the UGG brand since September of last year, M&C Saatchi said.
