Former judge Arthur J. Gajarsa joins WilmerHale law firm
WilmerHale, a law firm with offices in Boston, said that Arthur J. Gajarsa, formerly a judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, is joining the firm as senior counsel in its Intellectual Property Litigation Practice.
Gajarsa (left) was nominated to the federal circuit in 1996 by then President Clinton, confirmed by the US Senate in 1997, and served for 15 years, retiring in June 2012.
Last week, WilmerHale said that that Meredith B. Cross, former director of the Division of Corporation Finance at the Securities and Exchange Commission, will be rejoining the firm.
Cross served in that SEC post from June 2009 through the end of 2012. During that time, she led the division’s efforts to implement both the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act and the Jumpstart Our Business Startups Act, WilmerHale said in its press release.
Gajarsa will be based in WilmerHale’s Boston office, and Cross in the firm’s Washington, D.C., office.
With more than 1,000 attorneys, Wilmer Hale has offices in 12 cities around the world.
