Jeffrey A. Bailey is the new CEO of Lantheus
Lantheus Medical Imaging Inc., a Billerica company specializing in diagnostic imaging agents, announced that Jeffrey A. Bailey is its new president and chief executive.
Bailey replaces Donald Kiepert, “who resigned from Lantheus to pursue other opportunities,” Lantheus said in a press release.
With 26 years of experience in the industry, Bailey most recently served as chief operating officer of Fougera Pharmaceuticals Inc., where he led the company’s generic and branded pharmaceuticals products, said Lantheus, a company with a worldwide headcount of about 600 employees, including 375 in Massachusetts.
In a statement, Bailey said, “The rapidly evolving health care and medical imaging landscape continue to reshape how Lantheus does business and underscores the need to continue to innovate in order to remain competitive as a company.”
Brian A. Markison, who joined the Lantheus board of directors in September, has been appointed as the board’s chairman, the company added.
