Say ‘Happy Valentine’s Day’ with a heart-shaped donut, Dunkin’ suggests

Some romantics reveal their love in sonnets; others in tone poems and Balanchine-style ballets. And now, just in time for Valentine’s Day, Dunkin’ Donuts is suggesting that the heart-shaped sinker is the ideal culinary expression of love.

According to the Canton-based chain, its Cupid’s Choice Donut is sure to wow your lovebird and send his or her taste buds on flights of fancy.

The official description of Cupid’s Choice: A heart-shaped donut “filled with Bavarian Kreme, topped with strawberry flavored icing and a festive mix of pink, white, and red heart-shaped sprinkles.”

Cupid’s Choice isn’t the only heart-shaped donut on offer this Valentine’s Day season. Another option is the Brownie Batter Donut. Both donuts will be available at participating Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants nationwide through the end of February.

“Heart-shaped donuts are back as a fun, affordable, and easy way to show your love,” the chain said in a press release.

The chain also notes that some of its beverage items make for ideal Valentine’s Day presentations. These drinks include Dark Chocolate Mocha Coffee and Dark Chocolate Mocha Frozen Coffee Coolatta.
