Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, a Boston publisher with a large textbook business, said Wednesday that some of its educational content will now be available on a range of Android-powered devices from Samsung Electronics America Inc., including on Samsung’s Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet computer.

This collaboration sees Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, or HMH, become Samsung’s first major educational content partner, the Boston publisher said.

HMH will bring hundreds of HMH titles to Samsung’s Learning Hub platform, which is available in select international markets.

“Transforming 21st century education will require thoughtful partnerships between leading technology innovators and content providers such as Samsung and HMH,” Tim Cannon, HMH’s executive vice president for strategy and alliances, said in a statement. “By making our award-winning educational content available and optimized on a wide variety of devices, we ensure that more students than ever can access and benefit from quality, effective instructional materials.”
