There is a great deal to say about CNN's current plight - and I've said some of it.

How did John King's new show score some of the lowest ratings in five years? Why has CNN hired Erick Erickson of RedState.com and Mary Matalin as analysts? (Check out Jon Stewart blasting the network for hiring Erickson.) How depressed is Anderson Cooper that he doesn't work for "60 Minutes" full time?

But today I have a much more disturbing topic of discussion: Larry King's marriage.

As Ross on "Friends" used to say, "Wha-huh?"

King's impending divorce (his eighth, for those of you keeping score at home) confuses me on several different levels.

First, and most importantly: does he has enough energy to hang around townr? If you've caught King's show recently, you may notice that he only seems to have a tenuous grasp on the identity of the person he's interviewing - especially if that person is under 60 (okay, 65).

Second, the 76-year-old, suspender-wearing, odd-hair-sporting King could have, ahem, cheated on his 50-year-old, model-like wife?

And third, if the blogosphere is right, that he may have cheated with her sister?! What kind of weird family is this? Is it possible he got confused and thought she was his wife? (Please refer to "tenuous grasp" above.)

Ahh, Larry King. You have a way of putting all of CNN's problems in perspective.
