Mike Huckabee: Obama grew up in Kenya
During an interview on The Steve Malzberg Show former Arkansas governor and current Fox News host Mike Huckabee said that President Barack Obama grew up in Kenya.
Huckabee’s comment came in response the host asserting that Obama spent “millions of dollars in courts all over this country to defend against having to present a birth certificate.”“One thing that I do know is his having grown up in Kenya, his view of the Brits, for example, very different than the average American,” Huckabee said in response.
“If you think about it, his perspective as growing up in Kenya with a Kenyan father and grandfather, their view of the Mau Mau Revolution in Kenya is very different than ours because he probably grew up hearing that the British were a bunch of imperialists who persecuted his grandfather,” Huckabee added.
Uh, no. That's not remotely true. Barack Obama grew up in Hawaii and Indonesia, not Kenya. Why do Republicans keep saying stupid nonsense like this and going along with this line of thinking? It's just blatantly wrong and disturbing. Ya know, not every email that your great aunt forwards you is true.
