The NHL realignment plan is pretty rock solid except for the continuation of a franchise in Phoenix. It is clear that a hockey club will not survive there long term and needs to move. Where should it move? Quebec City.

Quebec City has been clamoring for a team ever since their beloved Nordiques moved to Denver in 1995. They're even building an arena that will be up to NHL code. Commissioner Gary Bettman should do the right thing and move a club out of the desert of Arizona to a place where pond hockey is a part of the local vocabulary. I believe up there they call it hockey d'antan.
