Posted by jesseyeric[/QUOTE]I saw Al walking through Macy's in a mall one night  (Burlington) when no one was around.

I took a double take -- but he was dressed all in black, and had the trademark hair so I decided to run after him to say hello.   No shame, I admit.  :)

I took a piece of paper I had in my wallet at the time, and asked him to autograph it, and he was glad to give me his autograph.

    I still have it.

ghoulish voices or themes...?   difference there.

"Used To Love Her" is ghoulish in theme, but darn near perky in delivery.  Yet "Mr. Brownstone" could be called a bit ghoulish in both.

"Down By The River" is a ghoulish theme but almost a gospel-like inflection.

Many naturally deep voices are unintentionally ghoulish.  Brad Roberts of CTD comes to mind immediately.

My first choice, however: Johnny Cash - "The Man Comes Around"...I dare anyone to listen to this late at night on a deserted highway.  Frightening.

I don't know if he's ghoulish, but Johnny Cash's rendition of "Hurt" is beautiful and haunting.

    I hurt myself today
To see if I still feel
    I focus on the pain
    The only thing that's real
    The needle tears a hole
    The old familiar sting
Try to kill it all away
    But I remember everything
