50th Anniversary of the March on Washington

Today is the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington. What favorite songs of yours do you feel represent the spirit of that momentous day?

I will start off with a song by Graham Parker. It's probably not one of his better known, but for me it represents the spirit of freedom and hope that was present on that day.

"The Sun is Gonna Shine Again"

Maybe not the spirit, exactly, but more of the concept:

Cult of Personality - Living Colour  (despite the Malcolm X reference)

    and...

"Why Can't We Be Friends" - War

    "99 Problems" - Jay-Z

    "Strange Fruit" - Billie Holiday

    "Biko" - Peter Gabriel

    but most of all:

    "Redemption Song" - Bob Marley

I saw a news piece on the protest songs that were sung during those tumultuous times, and it is true,  to keep their spirits up, many uplifting songs were sung.

This song was originally used as a protest song; it's a classic that I am very fond of:

    "This Little Light of Mine"

The People United Will Never Be Defeated - a Chilean protest song written toward the end of the Pinochet regime (Spanish = El Pueblo Unida Jamas Sera Vencido) that has been used, adapted or referenced in numerous other protest events in many countries (including after the Harvey Milk assassination) and was the basis for a major solo piano work by American composer Fredric Rzewski.
