    Band ID?

Who is the longest standing RnR band with no member changes?

(this coincides with the ADD song question, since it might result in a very quick response)

    3  -  2  - 1  -  Anyone??

    Kar,
I'd never make U2 the answer to one of my ID queries.  Just for the record -- I'd get run out of here, you know?  :D

But nice try and thanks for popping in.  Fun seeing you.    :)

There's one with no member changes for longer than 35 years?

Was going to guess Rush (the power of trois) but I think the Texas trio has them beat...

Rush is #2, if I'm not mistaken.  Good guess, though...another trio, too....

    Close, but no enchilada.

    Re: Band ID?

Okay, sorry I was going to wait for more guesses, but you've already guessed the other two, Rush and U2, so the trick (and not obvious) answer is ZZ Top.

Since 1969, so there you go.

Now you know a neat little RnR fact, that Matty already knew.  :D

ETA:  For Rush, they did have a change in the lineup -- once -- so they don't have the number of consecutive years in an unchanged lineup.

    Thanks.

I have something a little more challenging.  Stay tuned.

    You said "longest standing."

I once saw Billy Gibbons sit down.

...and I 'm sure the other two occasionally sit.

Nice try yoga, but you didn't fool me this time.

I didn't think I'd fool the panel of experts, Zilla ... you just didn't make it in time.  The two other choices were admirable, educated guesses (yeah, Rush is 2nd).   There are many ways to phrase this, but what ever way you see it, I'm certain they sat down on occasion, too-- agreed.  :D
Wait til next week, I'll bring another one up here.

I am going to a party where there will be an open mic tonight -- ha, don't ask.:)

I was going to guess the Monkees, because I missed the announcement that they have officially disbanded. But, I would have likely been disqualified as they weren't a real group, they were T.V. stars with studio guys playing the music most of the time( at least at the beginning).
