Marketing an amp the old-fashioned way

Do you want your daughter to aspire to this?!    ;)

Well now, that sounds familiar.  ;-)

I'll bite....Hell no!  My daughters have a far bigger upside than being a Stepford Mannequin.

Female musicians I have/will encourage them to admire:  Chrissie Hynde, Poison Ivy Rorschach, Kim Deal....

Female musicians I have/will subtlety steer them away from:  Maradona, Beyonce, 4 of the Spice Girls...

Glad you dug up this thread, b/c it was for YOU.

hahahah!!!    Vanna White's not on the list?    Laughing

I hear you, and I get you.    This is the music forum, so we should keep on topic, but there have been other role models, and people that I admire, outside of music, most of whom are not famous, that I have used as my role models and inspirations in life.   Sometimes, it's the people that you actually *know* and/or encounter, that make the biggest impact on you.

BTW, the lady in the picture is tame by today's standards, and her outfit is no different than what many women wear to work; what's especially funny is the capri-style pants, which look exactly like what's on sale now, in 2013.

That was a rhetorical question right?

That being said this kind of marketing still exist today.
