Bobby Womack - "Across 110th Street"

The opening(/closing) theme of "Jackie Brown" with that way cool tracking shot of the ever-lovely Ms. Pam Grier hustling through the airport.

    Classic.

Darlin' Be Home Soon- The Lovin' Spoonful..... Off the  You're a Big Boy Now soundtrack.  The film was Francis Ford Coppola master's thesis at U.C.L.A film school in 1966.  A funny coming of age film along the lines of the Graduate which was released around the same time.

I need my car washed (BAD) -- my car is black, not that you can tell right now.  Today could not be a more perfect "car washing" January day, you know?
    So ...

    "Car Wash" is my SoTD.

oops, looks like I blew the theme on theme songs.  Sorry, I have a cold today and my mind is a bit fogged up.

I posted a theme song as my first song, in the first thread, and I can't possibly top it (right now, anyhow), so I'll just repeat, "Now We Are Free"  -- the theme to Gladiator.   Special meaning, from a special friend who has been in the military over the past decade.  Home safe now.

    Re: TV show themes:

Two faves: Barney Miller and Night Court

(Not incidentally, the two shows share pedigrees... the themes were both composed by Jack Elliott and Night Court's creator Reinhold Weege was a writer for Barney Miller.)
