Canceled shows back on the air

With the news that "Arrested Development" will return to TV before it hits the big screen, we want to know which other canceled shows you'd like to rescue.

Yeah, I mean really, how can Firefly be missing?! I guess this just points out again how Matthew Gilbert and I don't agree on which are the good and which are the bad TV shows. (Although a couple in that list I definitely agree with, and might have forgotten to mention, such as Wonderfalls)

Glad to see Action made this list.  First there was the Warren Zevon theme song, Even a Dog Can Shake Hands.  How cool was that?  I'll tell ya, it was way cool.  This show was edgier than Entourage ever hoped to be.  Peter Dragon gives a whole new definition to taking a meeting when he's trying to convince his star, Cole Riccardi, that Peter too is a "friend of Dorothy."  That's about as edgy as it gets on TV or in film for that matter.  Peter Dragon was the ultimate sociopath.

EVERWOOD.  Witty and heartfelt family entertainment.  In the cruelest possible twist of fate, it didn't survive the WB/UPN merger because of a last minute decision to give the profoundly inferior "7th Heaven" one more crappily written and acted season.

Lets not forget New Amsterdam that lasted for 8 wonderful episodes.  They even managed to end it with a nice bitter sweet note.

I'm so glad to see I'm not the only one to wish Fox ever cared about Wonderfalls.  Show was great, Caroline was awesome as the snarky sarcastic personality of Jaye.  Loved it, great cast, great entertainment, just finished re-watching the DVDs a couple of weeks ago.  Worth owning!

Also nice to see Sports Night, I enjoyed that, and Andy Richter was fairly entertaining.

Firefly definitely belongs on the list.  Also missing, Better Off Ted, hilarious show.  And it's early but I'm already mourning the end of Chuck, as NBC ends one of my favorite shows on the air to add exciting new idiocy like Whitney and The Playboy Club.  Eli Stone has to be my favorite law show as well.  Some similar characteristics to Wonderfalls, also with great humor and heart.  What else.. oh Pushing Daisies.  ABC has done a lot of destroying great new shows, it's sad.  I'm sure I'm missing many more....
