Callie my roots are in southern Ireland and Scotland - great drinking blood.

jessy I've seen snow in Sicily on Mt. Etna. Didn't last long though as the volcano was a little active at the time.

BTW - little WTW is fully recovered from his new years day bump on the noggin'. His head is as hard as mine.

When I first read your post Wallking, I thought it said that they were great at drinking blood.  Glad I got that wrong :-)  Good news that your little guy is doing ok.

You sound like you know your way around the kitchen, jessey.  Very impressive.

[QUOTE]All this talk about Italy is making my stomach growl.  I love leftover pasta for breakfast, or anytime actually. Is everyone here but me of Italian descent?  My relatives all came over from Eire.

Callie, I'm Irish, English, Norwegian, German (I think) and Polish.  Heinz 57, in other words.  :-)

And WTW, glad to hear little WTW is doing OK.

jessey, a guy who cooks well is VERY sexy to the ladies.  ;-)

A couple of times I've predicted the demise of the granddaddy, LLWA, offline to another contributor.  And then new posters jump in and stir things up.  There's been an ebb and a flow.

There are a lot of threads out there now - I thought it would kind of diffuse the energy, but it seems like some posters only show up on certain sites.  But, yeah, it's hard to imagine how they'll all keep going.  Fun while it lasts though.  And sometimes I amuse myself greatly (I know - not necessarily anyone else).  All of you crack me up too :-)

    Best of all, it's Friday!!

Not sure if it's b/c we're tired.  It's January, it's cold (way too cold for me, as a matter of fact, you all know that!), it's the time of year you just want to sleep.
Wish I was still asleep now!!

Maybe we're hibernating.  Maybe we're on a break.

I thought the LLWA was sputtering, too, callie.  Then, some interlopers came in (ha ha!!) and it got some energy pumped back into it.

You have to admit there is nothing "wrong" with the idea we are losing interest in some of these threads ... that means our brains need more of a workout.

If anyone has any ideas for a new (fun, and a little challenging or creative) WA, maybe we can add one to the mix.  If you have a suggestion, put it forward!

In the meantime, I still like to drop by here, even if it's just to see if anyone is around.    It's the comraderie that makes it so much fun.

and jessey, please do not perform the last rites without our permission.  You have tried to play the Godfather once before, and you saw how that ended.

My Latin isn't what it used to be when I was younger so I will not perform any last rites. Maybe an exorcism.

I agree with Callie, there is an ebb and flow, or as someone may post in music wa, Flo and Eddie. Maybe the creative juices aren't at their peaks in the middle of the winter, a form of vitamin d deficiency Surprised

Yogafriend, you bring up a valid point about our brains needing to be more challenged. Then again, my brain is challenged on a daily basis Undecided

The main reason I enjoy the forums in which I play are the opportunities to connect with a bunch of, for the most part, anonymous people in a kinder and gentler setting.

So play on people! Enjoy the weekend...Cool

Not a snow bunny myself, but once the media gets everyone all riled up about a storm, I do get a little annoyed if we don't end up having a real blaster.

    So bring it already.

I liked no pants day. Well at least when the good looking people were walking around. I am very shallow that way.
