    Cairn terriers

Regarding grooming, I have ordered a  Mars Coat King  Blade  to be used twice a year, I tried the furminator on him with good results.

He let me clip his nails last night, no hysterics!

He will play ball for an hour at a time (fetch + return).

Wondering if anyone has had experiences with this breed that they would like to share.  TIA

    Re: Cairn terriers

A very close friend of mine had a Cairn....and he was like a member of my family years ago. I used to dog sit frequently and took care of him when my his master spent 2 months in the hospital. Such a nice breed. Very smart and personality plus. Like any terrier you have to keep them busy or they will get into mischief.

    Re: Cairn terriers

The one I have is about 2 years old, smart as a whip, no accidents in the house (so far).

Loves to play fetch with a small Petco rubber ball....for hours, and always returns the ball!

You are right though, they (terriers) have to be kept busy :)

If a Cairn sees a squirrel, all bets are off.

Interesting breed, don't know why I never noticed them before.
