    Government shutdown complaint board

The government may be partially closed, but we're not. Should President Obama renegotiate Obamacare or are the Republican faction in the House wrong to hold the government "hostage," as the President has said. Sound off here about the government shutdown.

The Affordable Care Act of 2012 is a law, passed by the citizens of the USA and should stay as such.  Members of the House and Congress who delay our government should be penalized with fines from their very own pocket for putting our government in jeopardy.

The democrats not negotiating on any proposals, and then blaming the tea party faction & others is despicable.  The Dems rammed thru Obamacare with all democratic votes & now even they don't want it.  Obama is once again on the golf course, reid shut down the senate all weekend & returns hours before a shutdown.  The Dems will not compromise & play the blame game, all the while hoping for a shutdown.  Well they got what they wanted & I blame them.

Excuse me, but there has been an election both for the office of President as well as Senate and House seats.  In all three, republicans lost more seats in Congress and the bid for president even though they ran on opposition to ObamaCare.

The majority just spoke less than a year ago and re-elected Obama and put more democrats in office knowing that ObamaCare would be supported.

The radical minority TEA Party faction of the republican party is way out of line, dangerous and clearly out of control.  They essentially have held this nation hostage at gun point because they can't get their own, dangerous way.

It is clear they need to be voted out in 2014 as they are a menace to this Nation's integrity.

Both parties are to blame, and how could anyone be surprised that we've reached this point?  Congress has no problem sending plenty of money into the various 'humanitarian' blackholes around the globe, yet consistently let down the citizens of their own country by being totally incapable of any sort of negotiation or dialog.  The accusations they hurl at each other are embarrassing and childish.  And Obama hasn't exactly distinguished himself either - he needs to begin showing some leadership, the way Bill Clinton when this happened before.

51% of the electorate voted for this fool. They don`t even know what Obamacare is.  60% of the AMERICAN PEOPLE are against Obamacare and have been since it`s inception.  They still are today.  It costs $1.8 TRILLION and is destroying jobs.

If you think for one second the misinformed, uneducated, welfare-ites, that voted for Obama in November know anything other than their need to keep their EBT cards coming......you`re sadly mistaken.

2014 will be a Republican sweep in huge numbers.

    [/QUOTE]

Keep spewing your divisive hate.  The only thing destroying jobs is the FACT that republicans have blocked any further legislation for job creation and have produced absolutely none of their own.

Instead they have created a series of fake scandals, attacked immigrants, women, minorities and attempted to repeal ObamaCare over 40 times and couldn't do it so now they hold the nation at gunpoint.

And we shall see in 2014 the fallout for them, won't we?

I am not speaking towards the value of Obamacare, but doesn't this set a bad presedence?  What would have been your opinion if the Southern Dems who didn't like the Civil Rights Act in 64 or 65 had attached ammendmants to the budget trying to killing that?  In this hypothetical instance who would be at fault for shutting down the government?

Get the Republicans and Democrats in one room, no food, except for water and do not allow them to leave until a resolution is reached both on the budget and the national debt. And by the way  hold their checks as well. Want to eliminate the Obama Care? Find another venue to do this.  How can we negotiate peace accords we are so disfunctional?

This congress has one agenda - to prevent President Obama from having any success while in office.  The current shutdown can only be blamed on Republicans and the 1% who pull their puppet strings.

This shutdown is an outrage to every tax paying American.  Congress needs to be punished for these reprehensible actions.

When are the protest marches scheduled to begin?

Yeah?  They wouldn't have come up with that ruling if Obamacare had been "passed by the citizens of the USA" as the prior posted stated.

The law was NOT put in place "by the citizens".   It was passed by both houses of Congress  and signed into law by the President.  That's the established (Constitutional) process for how we create Federal law.

    1) You've got to pass the bill in order to find out what's in it.

    2) You've got to enact the bill to find out how much it cost.

    3) You need more money, but you don't know how much, to fund it.

We're the richest nation in the world and should be able to provide it to all Americans...but following the above logic is lunacy.

We're the richest nation, but I wouldn't call us the smartest nation. There is no sense of fiscal restraint. Mostly because I truly believe people don't understand the basic math to fully understand these not-so-complicated issues.

Do we have to pass it to see what's in it too? Banana Republics have more democracy than that.

I believe when people say..."The law was passed by the Citizens of the USA"...the writer simply means that we the people elected our government officials who indeed passed this on and it became law for the citizens.

It passed and became law, therefore, Republicans fussing and fighting about something they very well know cannot be stopped in the 24 hours before it became fully active is simply ridiculous.

It is not Obama or the Dems that are holding us hostage by not negotiating.  The time for negotiating on Obamacare went out the window when it became law.

The Republicans are simply standing true to their word, They are being Obstructionists and have been since Obama was elected President.

The Republicans and their Tea Party affiliates will pay dearly during the next election cycle.

We the PEOPLE have had enough of the Tea Party science project.

Right and not funding it..what is that right?  We fund bombing countries, subsidising big oil, but helping our fellow Americans while hopefully bringing some relief for Insurance that is out of control is bad.

That is the Republican way...bomb people and give to big business, and as for people evey man for himself suckers!!

    Good Grief!
