    "No lobbyist"!!!

President Barack Obama will nominate venture capitalist and former wireless and cable lobbyist Tom Wheeler on Wednesday to head the Federal Communications Commission, and Rep. Melvin Watt to head the Federal Housing Finance Agency, which oversees Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

The planned nominations were disclosed by a White House official.

After decades in and around Washington telecom circles, Wheeler would take the reins of the FCC as the industry prepares for a major reshuffling of ownership of radio airwaves and as the agency tries to catch up to rapidly changing technology.

He has the rare support of both industry groups and a number of consumer advocates.

Wheeler has served as an informal adviser to Obama in recent years and has been a big fundraiser for his political campaigns. He went into the venture investing business after years at the helm of the National Cable Television Association and then the wireless industry group CTIA.

Wheeler is a technology innovator who lobbied on behalf of disruptive technologies, against entrenched cable companies, to widen the available formats for media and data transition.

Wheeler does have a strong telecommunications pedigree. On the 20th anniversary of the cable television industry in 1995, Wheeler was selected as one of the 20 most influential individuals in the industry’s history.

On the 25th anniversary of the cellular telecommunications industry in 2008, he was named one of the top 10 innovators in the wireless industry.

many lobbiest are good just like many drug dealers, forgers, thieves, career criminals are good at what they do.

The issue is saying one thing against lobbiest while running for office and then coveting them once you get it

The usual nauseating liberal hypocrisy and phony lies, on so many levels.

Lobbying in one sense is just free speech, to "ban" lobbyists leads to the type of shenanigans the Obama Administration is playing.

Businesses formerly succeeded and failed on the merits of their product or service. They didnt need lobbyists. Now, thanks to today's liberal bureaucratic regulatory Nanny State, business must now 'play ball" with Government.

Success and failure of a business comes from hundreds of decisions of bureaucrats and regulators in DC. Crony capitalism thrives. Which leads to the need for business lobbyists to look out for the interests of their business. Then liberals,  who just love the top down regulatory Nanny State bureacracy,  wonder why there are so many lobbyists!

The phony Obama plays the class warfare card and disses lobbyists, and claims he wont hire them. Of course, he only actually means "bad lobbyists", those that arent his own crony capitalists. Corporations like CitiCorp and GE , their lobbyists are OK!

Everyone CLC labels a "liberal" is responsible for Obama's actions.

The question is: why when Obama fails on campaign promise after campaign promise along with tax increases on the middle class and poor and silence on why the world still hates us after his first term was supposed to change their view; are his supporters not holding him accountible or even asking why did we fail?

It can't all be the rights fault.
