Obama Crooked Green Energy cronies, the sequel

    WSJ:

You would think after the massive corruption and failure of Solyndra and other crooked green tech grants, Obama's cronies would lay low. Think again.

$34 million in grants just pushed out to 'green energy' cronies by the Obama Department of Energy.

$9.5 million targeted to 'venture capital firms' run by one Vinod Kholsa. $4 million to help his company purchase the assets of a defunct "Range Fuels".  Obama's Dept of Energy previously lost $80 million in taxpayer money "investing" in Range Fuels.

What a coincidence! Mr Kholsa recently held a fundraiser for Democratic Senatorial canidates at his California mansion. Price of admission: $32,400.  President Obama flew out to California to attend in person (burning much carbon, no doubt)! Many Democrat  Senators also flew in.

A few days after getting the grant, his company hired Jim Messina to his Board of Directors.

Messina knows nothing about 'green energy' , but as head of Obama's "Organizing for America" Messina is Obama's bag man, and knows about 'green bribery'.

The Energy Dept keeps big dollar grants going, not to ambitious start ups , but to the same group of politically connected firms...

Everyone knows Obama hates energy. Bush made him do it.

    CLC,

In this article from the WSJ, what are the big news items?

    That presidents have fundraisers?

That if a fundraiser is in Cal. a president would fly to it...versus driving to it?

That a former member of OAA was appointed to a seat on the board of directors for a green energy company?

That a president of the U.S. is actively pursuing green energy? Oh wait. That is different in the political realm. That is news.

Bush Crooked Big Oil Cronies. Bush had a sequel too, didn't he? I seem to recall a certain individual that seemed to think oil would pay for the war. He also seemed to think the war would only last 6 months. But then there was another war. Neither were put on the books until Obama came into office. Funny, that, isn't it?

But sure, blame me for blaming Bush for getting us into two expensive wars. Go ahead, you're going to say it anyway.......... "Blame Bush for something he did."

Fine. Let's just believe the Bush years didn't exist.

It seems like what you're saying is that it's okay for the Obama administration to engage in corrupt crony capitalism because it happened in the Bush administration. Is that what you're saying?

So you're admitting it happened in the Bush administration? Ok, let's go from there, shall we? Let's compare the death toll. How many have been deprived of a loved one? How much has been invested in the military industrial complex? Which has been the larger drag on the economy?Which is more likely to pay off? Careful now, you're treading on thin ice.

Perhaps you might re-read the question that I actually asked and answer it (if that floats your boat) rather than having this absurd fantasy conversation you seem to be having with yourself.

The GOP cost us several times the billions in energy loans.

I think what he's trying to say is that Bush did the same thing, ten times worse, with incomparably worse consequences, and was defended - not attacked - by CLC, so maybe CLC doesn't have standing to whine.

OMG! Thank you! I was concerned that the conversation I was having with SB might have been some sort of hallucination.
