Yes we know better than Netanyahu about the Iranians and the middle east....not.

Fighting two wars there in the past 10 years certainly heightens the awareness.

Bibi has sought to undermine this admin from the start - all in the interests of israel - and none in the interests of the U.S.  He's an honorary goper in that regard.

Threatening war with or to bomb iran at every turn is less than helpful.

    Bibi is reflexively anti-diplomacy.

Netanyahu doesn't like his increased marginalization as he's constantly sought favor with the president's gop opponents in Congress.  His tantrums are getting old.

The fact that he's fuming so badly about it (and so many others around the world are praising it) makes me think something beneficial might occur...

...but I'm not holding my breath. Other than trading arms with them in the 80s, the U.S. hasn't been this close to a deal with Iran in 30 years.

Netanyahu is concerned about a country that has repeatedly lied and deceived the world, wants to destroy his people just because they are getting more money possibly for their nuke program by, us (his friend) secretly allowing them to skirt the sanctions? the shame!

What happened to "we do not negotiate with terrorist"??

Do you know how many US military deaths Iran is responsible for by providing IED training to extremeist in Afganistan??

Netanyahu is incorrigible.  He wants no negotiation whatsoever - a policy that made relations worse with Iran (and everyone else) during the Bush years.  And he makes things even more difficult by antagonizing the palestinian situation.

Obama has extended every courtesy to Bibi only to be derided and scorned in return.  It's surprising Bibi's calls even get returned these days, but they do.

Yes, and we should put U.S. interests first.  Bibi doesn't make that any easier.

(Unlike certain candidates who would have deferred US decision-making in the ME to Israel out of hand.)

I fail to see how a successful negotiation of Iran's nuclear capabilities is not in Israel's best interest?

Israel is already the largest beneficiary of US foreign aid and should be working with us, not against us.

I ususally ignore you for obvious reasons, but you are totally missing the one Iranian goal in life on this earth - Destroy Israel at all costs.

Didn't you ever read this?  Are you that thick?  Never mind, just hit myself in the forehead on a Friday afternoon, nevermind.............

The government hasn't proposed lifting all the sanctions on Iran, they have proposed easing back on some of them as a show of good faith but even the sanctions that may be relaxed require Iran committment to several consessions.  This is diplomacy and in the absense of diplomacy we are only left with war.  Would you rather exhaust diplomatic methods and then go to war as a last resort, or would you prefer we just start lobbing bombs?

    [/QUOTE]

Damain, do you believe it's possible to deal with Iran in good faith?

Iran isn't irrational, an all out war does them no good and they can look at the many regimes that hae crumbled around them for reference.  The US has a moral obligation to its people to explore options before sendings its men and women to fight.

Good thing we allowed them to sell that 35 million barrels of oil and set up all those new contacts!

    Geesh!

Iran failed to sign up to an agreement which would have settled the long standing dispute over its nuclear programme, John Kerry, the US Secretary of State, has said.

Mr Kerry said he remained optimistic that a deal could be reached through the Geneva talks with Iran despite the last-minute collapse of a deal at the weekend.Israel and hawks in the US Congress have spoken out against a short-term agreement that would allow Iran to continue enriching uranium at low levels which could be used in power stations but not as part of a nuclear arms programme.

"What we are doing will protect Israel more effectively," Mr Kerry said during a visit to the United Arab Emirates.

According to Mr Kerry the P5+1 group, representing the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany, were united when the proposed deal was presented to the Iranian negotiating team on Saturday.

“But Iran couldn't take it, at that particular moment they weren't able to accept," Mr Kerry said.

How many decades must we explore options?  Remember, Iran has took over our embassy, has funded attacks on our allies, and harbors terrorists.

Obama has extended every courtesy? What fantasy island are your currently living on?

I think the best courtesy extended to Bibi was when Obama sent him out the back door of the White House through a bunch of trash bags.  there is a photo of that somewhere.
