    is center our strength

I was checking to see how our suppposedly strongest part to our team compares to other teams
center is suppose to be our strength
where do we compare in scoring with the other top 50 centers in the league
    remember centers not all players

savard  is not in the top 50 but we will give a little pass because of his injuries this year.
bergeron 29th out of 50  has played great defensively but is certainly underachieving offensively with 8 goals 18 assist he is not an offensive threat at all
krejci 7 goals 12 assisst pretty pathetic actually kessell already has almost double his point production
sobotka is not in the top 80 but has not played to much center
     pretty sick huh !!!
maybe we need to trade for a high offensive center.

You have no clue, none.  Savvy has suffered a signifigant injury, Krejci is only within the last week or so been even close to 100%.  Bergeron is one of the top two-way centermen in the league, period.

Having three centermen that can break 70 points is significant, being a good faceoff team is very important.  Forget about their individual stats, let's see what management does to get Savvy a winger and hopefully we are healthy when it comes to playoff time, then its a totally different story.

Well if any of them had some wingers to pass to they'd have better numbers.

Careful bruinsking - you are trying to give an honest evaluation, but you have chosen some players who are in the "circle of worship" in bruinsland. Please be advised that you should think twice before mentioning Bergeron...
Didn't you know that he is one of the best in the whole world? And there are some who wouldn't trade him for Ilya Kovalchuk? 29th in the leauge, but #1 in thier hearts. Go Bergy!!!

    Re: is center our strength

I'll admit that often fans and GM's alike fall in love with players and are then unable to trade or dump them before they have to endure the declining years and over-pay to boot.I personally have always had a man-crush on Bergy since he won the palyer of the tournament at the World Junior's a few years and 2 concussions ago.It was one of the first times the Bruins actually had a player in that tourny that people all around the league were excited about. (other than Thornton of course). I believe that in a different system- with different wingers Bergy would have better point totals. It doesn't matter- he's aBruin and in this system with these players he shuts down, takes face-offs and puts up some points. The Bruins are all about rolling 4 lines and playing within the skill sets of their players. Hopefully when the team is fully healthy we will see the dividends of keeping a player like Bergeron around. That said-if someone makes an offer that you believe will make your team better-As a GM- you have to forget the love. . . and move on.

if you want to look at points alone you can do that but you'll miss an awful lot
