How to win a Championship, with contributions from Robert Kraft, the Red Sox ownership and new notes from the Boston Celtics...

Jeremy Jacobs needs to sell this team to someone who cares about the fans and winning. He is a curse to the Bruins organization. He makes a great return on his business and refuses to step up.

The players work their butts off, but were not put in a real position to win anything. This is the Jacobs philosophy. Put just enough talent on the ice to keep the fans paying.

    I'm not a basher either. I'm a realist.

Absolutely 2009 is the year for the Bruins. They'll win one round of the playoffs before they get tossed. For them, it'll be like winning the Stanley Cup.

Tom Polcha at Fox Sports on the RW Free Agents lists Boston as the landing place for Hossa.  May it be so, if the B's do that with Claude's defensive system they could go deep in the playoffs and have an outside chance at the Cup.  The line-up would take care of itself, and Savard might end up with 120 assists with Hossa in the lineup.  Do it Bruins!

Just read on a Pitt site that Hossa is on vaca and will meet with Pitt later this week to talk contract.  Source says Pitt not likely to go above 7 years at 50 Mil, maybe the Bruins offer 7 at 54+, although I doubt Jacobs would approve that.  We'll see.

they don't have to have Hossa. If savard can have a whole bunch of assists with virtually no one (no offense to sturmy and chucky) but they could get a Michael Ryder and shove it in the face of Montreal which gave him a real hard time and he switched positions too much. or get Ladislav Nagy or Owen Nolan at a significant discount. but i would rather Hossa who is very underated on the defensive side. but this is just a possible plan B.
