[QUOTE]on the parise situation, new jersey cant afford to keep him and every team knows that, so no one is going to sign him to an offer sheet and give up draft picks so new jersey will end up trading his rights to the highest bidder and probably wont get much value in return

I could see where re-signing him, and fielding a complete roster could present some challenges. With the cap expected to increase to roughly 61M or so, that'd give them $8.8M in cap space to sign/cover 5 roster spots, oncluding Parise. They have the core of their defense back, leaving 2 bottom defensemen, Hedberg, Parise and a bottom 6 forward to sign/re-sign.
I think they'll make room for Parise, whether it be trading some salary or signing near-league-minimum guys to fill out their roster.
The question is, with his injury this past year, could they get a slight discount on him (for injury fear going forward)?
I mean, I guess he could be traded, but I think Lou will find a way to make Parise a member of the Devils going forward.
If he is NOT able to re-up him, it'd take a lot more than the Krejci/Kelly and Hamill packages most people here will propose.
