    Additional Signing

With Sturm out and the Bruins salary cap issues seemingly under control with maybe even some room left I believe that the bruins might make a play for a power play defenseman free agent such as Marc-Andre Bergeron.  If not a defenseman they could go after a proven goal scorer free agent such as Maxim Afinogenov or Bill Guerin.  Your thoughts?

I've no problem with bringing Guerin back in case of injuries to other forwards and to give recchi some time off when needed(he looks his age some nights). The satan experiment last year had no ill effects.

They may be under the cap now, but just barely.  They cant afford to sign anyone without dumping someone else first.

Well if they signed Marc-Andre Bergeron they could probably sign him to a league minimum contract.

No thanks on M.A. Bergeron too.  That guy is an offense only player that has worn out his welcome in city after city.  Bergeron would score powerplay points, but on the balance would not be an upgrade on any of our current top six.

I don't think they even have that much room to sign M-A. He is more of a PP specialist at this point and makes Paul Coffey look like Kevin Lowe defensively. You'd honestly need to dress 7 dmen, he is that bad on defense.

M-A Bergeron is like Dennis Seidenberg, but he can't play offense or defense.  (keep in mind that this means he might still qualify as a puck moving defenseman)

LOL.  I'm pretty sure that in the fat-bellied beer league that I play in, I am a puck-moving defensemen.  Do the Bruins need me?

Unfortunately your future will not be with the bruins but the Leafs could probably use you.
