    Bellwether Krejci

Interesting article in this week's THN. It tracks Krejci's production vs. the Bruins pt. percentage. Turns out they mirror each other quite closely - Krejci's production goes up, the Bruins win. It goes down, the Bruins lose. Check it out if you get a chance - a good two page feature on him.

Just noticed today, when looking at the scoring tables, that Krejci is a -8.

    Could it be a typo?

No matter. Krejci is one of the primary straws that stirs the drink.

Wheat, he was also +37 in his only full season(08-09) so I guess you take it for what it's worth.

Your eyes can tell you almost the same.  See the four straight loses to Philly in the playoffs for more evidence.  It's uncanny.

Lead the 2011 Stanley Cup playoffs in points and Bruins win the cup. Hmmmm.

It is low & Krejci has had a pretty tough year overall with stretches when he didn't look like the same player. The low plus/minus this year is an odd stat for him because in the previous 3 yrs he was +37 (08), +8 (09) & +23 (10). He is a very solid 3 zone player but for whatever reason this appears to be an off year for him.

However, I agree he is the offensive straw that stirs the drink & I have no doubt , given his history, he will be at his best for the playoffs.
