No Shawn Thornton = no one to 'get things started' when we need a shakeup during the game. And they need something.

ST doesn't fight anymore so your point is moot.

    [/QUOTE]

Well, it is a moot point now...but someone needed to light a spark at 2-0.

What would Thornton do to light a spark though? He's less useful this year than he's ever been. The team showed up with cement skates tonight. There's nothing Thornton would've changed.

Any reason that Rask was kept in this game he has bailed them out how many games this season?

Especially against a Detroit team that doesn't engage in that way.

You're correct Nite. It happens over the course of a season. No big deal. A team's ability should be judged on their best games. There's very little to be learned from their worst.

What pizzes me off more than anything is how some of the cry babies only show their ugly pusses when the B's are playing poorly during a game, or when they're on a losing streak. Soxfan & kitchener are 2 of the worse for that!

Games like this happen to the best. The only silver lining for me is that it wasn't at home and it wasn't the Rangers. CJ smoking hot -- may have guys walk back to Boston. Shake it off and come back hard Friday vs Rangers. GO BRUINS

Leafs -- ZERO shots on goal in the 3rd and the OT. Leafs may have advantage in SO with Bernier vs Zatkoff.

All you can learn about the players tonight is that they're capable of mailing it in every so often. Is the team's true identity the one we saw over the previous 10 game stretch or the one we saw tonight? That's my point. Tonight is fairly meaningless in the overall scheme of things unless of course, the lack of effort continues. I don't think it will.
