    Game 26: Bruins Vs. Capitals

"The last time the Bruins faced off against the Washington Capitals and Pittsburgh Penguins, the outcomes left the B's bitter. After holding a 3-0 lead over the Caps in D.C., the Black & Gold saw that evaporate into a 4-3 overtime loss. One week later, the B's went up 2-0 on the offensively fire-powered Pittsburgh Penguins, just to see a 3-2 loss come as a result.

Despite the two frustrating losses, Boston has maintained a 18-4-3 record, good for second in the Northeast Division with 39 points, just one back of Montreal and securely in a playoff spot. For them, the matinee back-to-back games this weekend against Washington at TD Garden on Saturday, followed by the Pens in Pittsburgh on Sunday, will serve multiple purposes.

It will be a chance to find their full-60 consistency they've been searching for all season, and an opportunity to put the two demoralizing defeats in the past."

PP 21st in the league at 16.0% but third in the league on the road at 25.7%, odd and but will get better. Yay Pandolfo is not just a reserve anymore.

PS. Oh yah "Points are at a premium", cmon Brick it has been awhile...

Just don't go up 3-0...Okay seriously, I think you see the Bruins come out today and play alot better then what we saw Thursday. This is a big weekend, be nice to get a win today and carry it over into Pittsburgh tomorrow.

    Records: Capitals 11-14-1, Bruins 18-4-3

    Projected Bruins lineup:

    Milan Lucic-David Krejci-Nathan Horton
    Brad Marchand-Patrice Bergeron-Tyler Seguin
    Jay Pandolfo-Rich Peverley-Jordan Caron
    Daniel Paille-Gregory Campbell-Shawn Thornton

    Zdeno Chara-Johnny Boychuk
    Dennis Seidenberg-Dougie Hamilton
    Andrew Ference-Adam McQuaid

    Tuukka Rask
    Anton Khudobin

Healthy scratches: Aaron Johnson, Lane MacDermid

Storylines: Tuukka Rask and Anton Khudobin split the earlier back-to-back games. Claude Julien said, however, that Rask could have started both game if he didn’t have flu-like symptoms. We’ll assume Rask gets the nod today"

Does Tuukka start back to back this weekend ?

Of course I want a win, but more than anything I want to see them play a full 60 minutes and not sit back if they get an early lead.

I'd guess Rask gets the start San, if he plays well, throw him back in there on Sunday. Though, perhaps Julien wants to see how Khudobin does with another shot at the Pens.

I wonder, if Khudobin gets the nod against the Pens again what goes through his agents mind. Something like, great, contract year, and the last 2 starts he's had have both been on the road against the Penguins.

You'd be okay if they lost while playing a style that you can accept?

The third line is friiggin' horrible looking.

Peverley can't score, Pandopho may not even play with a stick and Caron hasn't done jack yet.

Hopefully a team effort can propel these guys to another victory today!

Erskine is out with an injury. Look like ST is going to have to actually play some hockey this afternoon.

Looks like the Krejci line has some jump thus far.  Lucic not turning but hitting.
