Re: Game 29: Penguins at Bruins

Johnny Boychuk will not play tonight because of a strained back. Boychuk was injured in the first period of Thursday’s 2-1 loss to Montreal when he was hit into the boards by Max Pacioretty. Boychuk will be out for 3-7 days. It’s possible Boychuk could miss the entire road trip.

    Puck drop: 7 p.m.

TV/radio info: NESN (Jack Edwards, Andy Brickley, Jamie Erdahl), 98.5 The Sports Hub (Dave Goucher, Bob Beers)

    Records: Penguins 20-9-1, Bruins 18-8-2

    Projected Bruins lineup:

    Milan Lucic-David Krejci-Jarome Iginla
    Brad Marchand-Patrice Bergeron-Loui Eriksson
    Carl Soderberg-Chris Kelly-Reilly Smith
    Daniel Paille-Gregory Campbell-Shawn Thornton

    Zdeno Chara-Dougie Hamilton
    Dennis Seidenberg-Torey Krug
    Matt Bartkowski-Kevan Miller

    Tuukka Rask
    Chad Johnson

    Healthy scratch: Jordan Caron

Storylines: Kevan Miller will play in his fourth career game. Miller was a healthy scratch against Montreal. Miller was brought up on emergency recall on Monday … Adam McQuaid (lower body) will miss his second straight game … Evgeni Malkin (lower body) will not play for the Penguins. Malkin did not travel to Boston with his teammates … Malkin joins an expansive list of injured Penguins. Other Pittsburgh players who are sidelined are Paul Martin, Rob Scuderi, Tanner Glass, Beau Bennett, Andrew Ebbett, and Tomas Vokoun … Pittsburgh has the best power play in the NHL (26.5 percent)… Brad Meier and Gord Dwyer will be the referees. Derek Amell and Andy McElman will be the linesmen.

Thornton is such a joke.  Orpik doesn't drop the gloves so Thornton doesn't drop his.

    What an empty jersey.

I disagree.  Crosby is a person.  He doesn't deserve injury because of someone else's actions.

Lucic caught Engelland with a solid right. I think he told Lucic that was it after that.

Dropping him to the ice and punching him when he is down is not what I was referring to.

F Thornton.  Give him the McSorley suspension.  Go away.  Don't come back.
