Vigneault actually wouldn't be a bad choice for that team - he knows how to run with talent. Coach's are like horse trainers - some can run a team of hardworking Clydesdales (Torts) and get everything out of them. Some can run thoroughbreds and rack up the wins at the local track (Vigneault) but not grab a crown race. Some coaches can adjust their plan to the talent they have. Vigneault and Torts can't - they're better off when they're with a GM who gives them the talent that fits their style, rather than trying to change their style to match what the GM gives them.

Interesting, Torts may dress Clowe, Haley, and Newbury:

A little late to goon it up or maybe a consequence of Dorsett's "run and hide" act last game?

Who is going to dress - or not - for the Rangers is the big pre game question for me.

Richards is benched ?...There are plenty of teams that would take his talent...He'll have a good view from the press box as the Bruins close out this series

it doesn't matter who the rangers suit up. if the boston bruins play the game we all know they are capable of... series over, on to the next. that simple.

So the Bruins are bound to get at least 1 powerplay in tonights game.

don't be so sure, the rangers haven't had to kill a penalty in MSG their previous two games there. how in the world is this possible?

I've heard that Torts is basically just a cheerleader in NY anyways and that Sullivan does most of the coaching. I could see them just promoting him perhaps.

A GM's job is to get the players - the coach's job is to use those players in the most effective way possible. Torts is a massive failure at that.

    He's 33 and makes 6.5M / yr until he's 40.  I cant see anybody taking that contract.

That's a lot of money to eat with an amnesty clause.
