Have we seen the last of Soda?

Barring injuries, I don't think we see him again.  And I'm OK with it.

Yes. I don't think he brings anything that existing players cant do.  And I only bring it up because many thought he was going to come here and put up huge numbers.  It's the grass is always greener mentality that plagues fans everywhere.

we haven't seen anything to suggest he is gretzky, but we haven't seen anything to suggest he won't be good. There is going to be a transition period, so we probably won't see him in the playoffs. I think he'll be a regular player next year, as the third line center after kelly is shipped

    Good injury insurance.

No need to play him unless.

Agreed, not unless someone gets injured.

    Soda, the Greaser, the Outsider.

I would not mind seeing him on the 3rd line, if they would sit Thornton, and move Peverley to the 4th line RW spot.

ST is more appropriate for Toronto.

Soda needs rest, he came here right after his playoffs.

He also needs to observe NHL playoffs.

I believe we'll see him in the next round.

Soderberg will be more useful than you can imagine.

Because of him a very fruitful deal will get done this off-season.

Me too Steve. The playoffs is a long grind and there are likely to be more injuries before it's over. Also, Thornton isn't necessary against most opponents (or even particularly useful).

If we don't see him playing it may be a sign that we are doing well and are healthy. Like some have said, he's good insurance.

It will probably depend on whom the Bs play in the next round.  As has been established, Thornton may not be needed to police certain teams, and therefore they may go with a "scorer" instead.

Kelly and Peverley are starting to play better, slowly but better. Like sitting Barkowski for the playoffs, I just think you need a veteran who knows how to grind it out. By that I mean keeping the puck along the boards.

Soderberg isn't ready yet for mistake free games. He will be by the end of next season.

For the sheer amount of 'hype" this guy was given, I expected him to be able to replace Bergeron. And now, he's nothing more than a ghost???

Is it possible though, that PC has sees something we don't see???

Re: Have we seen the last of Soda?

I think we'll see him at some point. Unless...he shows an attitude from sitting. Then Daugs will be back in there. Barring that, I think it'll depend on who the B's are playing between now & the the 4th round.
