    Wonder what this deal entails?

He wasn't doing much in Providence, if you look at the stat sheet.

    22 games 0 goals 3 assists -3 and only 9 PIMS.

Gotta wonder if the Bruins are getting anything back at all.  Look for Florida's 3-point on the season guys at the AHL level I guess...

Yeah Fletch, not sure if this will lead to something else or if it is just an AHL change of scenery move?

Long term status for Caron at Providence... speculative guess.

Good skater but never recovered from bad injury (ies).

Makes me wonder what was going on down in Providence with (3) three guys on the way out.  Maybe a chemistry issue?  Doesn't appear to be of any significance to the big club.

three out and two in but i doubt it very much that signals caron staying providence a long time.

Re: Jeff LoVecchio Traded to Panthers

Nothing to see here.  Please move along.

Fact is, the P-Bruins are not getting much done.  The scored four goals in three games last weekend.  None of the three guys leaving was getting any closer to making it to the NHL, and they surely aren't helping the development of Colborne, Arniel, or, yes, Hamill.  Hamill actually played his best hockey last year on a line with a former Silvertip - John Lammers - who was let go.  Lammers isn't a great player, but the production they showed suggests Hamill might show more with different linemates.  Will he show that he's really Wayne Gretzky?  Maybe.  If he's in Japan and someone finds out he's a Canadian hockey player and asks him "are you Wayne Gretzky".  Otherwise, no.  But getting Hamill moving will be useful for the development of Colborne, Sauve, Caron, and any of the D prospects on the blueline.

And like any team, when it ain't working, something's got to give.  This was an AHL move exclusively, as MeanE suggested.  Zimmerman isn't much more than a mid-sized defensive defenseman who was looking for work not long ago.  Simek might find a groove if he gets some chemistry with one of the better P-Bruin lines, but, well, Yannick Riendeau.

Once again, the major problem in Providence is adjusting to Claude's system. Most hockey players have developed instinctive reactions and moves, but, Claude's system negatesany " individualistic tendencies". Scott Gordon worked around all the restrictive dictates and continually produced a competative club. Now, without Tuuka's skills, Claude's syatem doesn't work at the AHl level either.
