[QUOTE]BH, So you're saying we should spend more time and energy on past events we can no longer control than on the circumstances that caused them and could therefore prevent similar events in the future? The notion that everyone except a few antisocial personalities are hoping for Pac's speedy and complete recovery should be self-evident. Please do not try to throw up dust to confuse the issues.

OK. I won't. Yes, the league is corrupt.
Prevent similar circumstances?
By doing what? Not buying a ticket? Not buying a retro Gump Worsley jersey from the Habs store? Or my not buying a pair of Bruins ear muffs from the Bruins store?
If I don't or you don't someone else will.
If Air Canada pulls out, they'll find someone else, like Viagra or a company where you can book a cruise for a Russian or Columbian mail order bride.
Hey, I am fully aware I'm wasting my time as are you. I love hockey, played bantam, high school, college and still play now so I am gladly wasting my time discussing this with you.
But at no given moment do I have any delusion that what I say will matter to the owners or NHLPA.
If the NHL were serious they would immediately eject people for fighting. If they were serious, full facial protection would be mandatory. True, what they have now totally and utterly is horrible, it fogs up or half blinds you, but if NHL players were required to wear the stuff then the technology would improve to the point where people would want to wear it.
But that's not happening, and it won't because fighting and violence sells.
oh such an ugly incident. Yet CNN is showing up in the Bruins dressing room. You don't think they want the publicity, even if its negative?
Don't kid yourself, they are ALL out to make a buck and don't care about you or me. They know they have you and me.
They want to sell to the idiots out there, to the same people who go to NASCAR where 3% want to see racing and 90% want to see a crash and the other 7% can't spell their own names.
