    Jussi Jokinen on waivers?

Seems like a big improvement over Pandolfo.

Ah, the juicy one. would be a decent pickup but I would be surprised if he isn't gone long before the B's get the chance. Do you have a link?

Not good enough to blow the waiver priority on for me.

Scored 30 just a couple of years ago and is good defensively. Only $ 3million. Perfect for Kelly and Peverley.

I'd take him in trade FOR Kelly and Peverley right now.

Just think about how good that line would be in the playoffs with Jokinen NAS. Wearing out the other teams and being a scoring threat once again. Fantastic....and unrealistic. Someone is going to snag him.

He will be snagged quickly.  Decent contract for next year.

Cross your finger Shupe. This guy is a definite upgrade and will cost PC nothing.

Pretty good in the OT shootout as well....He would make Brickley pretty happy "with points at a premium".

This is one of my predictions:
A lot of talk this deadline again…..and in the end one of the Jokinens will be traded.

Seems to happen every single year lol

Waiver wire pickups. The key to a Stanley Cup ? He is there because of how's he's playing now. There must be better players then this available come trade deadline.

The Bruins don't need someone else's garbage thrown to the curb.

I agree, but sometimes a change  is all that's needed.

Yeah, PC will just trade for other team's garbage (Rolston, Zanon, Motteau) or sign them when they become ufa's (Pandolfo, Pouliot).

Let the change happen somewhere else. The Bruins are looking for pieces to get them to the cup. Why pick up a player who has lost his game and might never find it again ?

Is this what the Bruins need ?

    Re: Jussi Jokinen on waivers?

Ask yourself, is Jokinen better than other players currently on the roster? The answer is yes, better than (Pandolfo, Caron, and ST at least)

Is he cap friendly? Yes. $3million a season.

Can he contribute? Yes, he is a faceoff and shootout specialist who can also play on the pp and play defensive systems.

    So, why not?

    Re: Jussi Jokinen on waivers?

So the waiver comes to my turn and I think to myself "If anymore forwards go down between now and the playoffs, I have Caron, Panfolpho or Spooner as my choices to replace them...". The waiver button on my desk becomes huge. I would grab him and not look back becuase of my current choices.

I would also imagine Peverley and Jokinen on a line together as well. I've just created a sense of security some what if I don't get the players I want through a trade. As a GM I have to do it.

PC has other players in mind in how he wants to spend that money ?
