Cheering for Canada doesn't feel quite right, even tho I do have relatives in Hamilton.

What would feel right would be maybe Sweden, maybe I owe it to Soderberg.  I said some harsh things about him once.
You have relatives in Hamilton ? I have a dicktator that I deal with on a daily basis from there.

Could it be ?
Doubt it, he's retired.  He managed a McDonald's when I was about 8 years old.  It was the first time I ever ate McDonald's.  I thought it was an exclusively Canadian thing.

Yah don't let idiots like Waddell, Tallon nor Burke brow beat you, like Poile did, during the meetings. Poile did not control the process properly and should not have had Burnside, of all hockey journalists, cover the meetings.

Another gaff to add to the history of grudges that NHL GMs hold when they get involved with USA Hockey. Other hockey countries are laughing at Poile and Burke's ridiculous egos now.

Well with only a day left I better throw out my team Canada projection

Goalies - Price, Smith, Crawford (got a hunch that the announcement on
Lou's injury that's expected later today will not be good news, and Harding's having health issues as well) If Lou isn't out, then Price, Lou, Smith

D - Doughty-Weber, Seabrook-Keith, Pietrangelo-Bouwmmester, and Vlasic
and Subban as 7 and 8

Forwards - Stamkos, Crosby, St. Louis
John Tavares, Ryan Getzlaf, Corey Perry
Sharp, Toews, Giroux
Duchene, Bergeron, Couture
Benn, Staal

Red,

thats pretty much how i see it as well.  I think thats exactly how the skaters will be picked.  Sharp has been unreal this year.  As for the goalies i think you nailed it as well.  My only difference is Richards.  I think he should be there and could bump staal out.

May as well put up my guess for the Russian team as well (though I'll likely miss on a few here as I know little about the KHL)

Goalies - Varlamov, Babrovsky, Nabokov

D - Markov-Emelin, Gonchar-Voynov, Medvedev-Nikulin, and Belov and Volchenkov as 7 and 8.

Forwards - Ovechkin-Datsyuk-Semin

Kovalchuk-Malkin-Radulov

Kulemin-Ansimov-Tarasenko

Yakupov-Tereschenko-Kuznetsov

Nichuskin and Tikhonov

Red,

i forgot Thornton.  I think he makes the team as well.  My two adds Joe and Richards.  Staal and Benn likely come off.  I likely take Benn over the two i mentioned but i dont think canada will.

It's never good news when an MRI is needed. But, I still think Lou gets picked & a replacement will be named later if needed unless it's a 6wks, or longer injury. I fixed who I think will be there.

Bob McKenzie ‏@TSNBobMcKenzie
"I'm going to make educated guesses on CDN Olympic team roster. Not who I think should be there, simply who I think will be named. Here goes:

Bob McKenzie ‏@TSNBobMcKenzie
Goal: Price, Luongo, Smith.

Bob McKenzie ‏@TSNBobMcKenzie
LD: Keith, Bouwmeester, Vlasic, Hamhuis. RD: Doughty, Weber, Pietrangelo, Subban.

Bob McKenzie ‏@TSNBobMcKenzie
C: Crosby, Toews, Tavares, Getzlaf, Bergeron.

Bob McKenzie ‏@TSNBobMcKenzie
LW: Couture, Benn, Duchene, Sharp.

Bob McKenzie ‏@TSNBobMcKenzie
RW: Stamkos, Giroux, Nash, Perry, St. Louis."

Seems to be some sentiment for St. Louis. Big ice has the skaters.

Him & Girioux's name are the 2 that have been off & on the most thru-out the season. That's why he's one of the possibilites that Lucic takes his place.

I can understand giroux based on play but bergie hasnt been lights out either.  Logan on the other hand has been steady all year, plays all situations.  I would love lucic out there.  I wouldnt take him ahead of couture.  But we've said our piece on this.  I think lucic game is 100 worthy of a spot. I think hes playing great.
