    Re: RIP Shawn Burr

Battled leukemia  for yrs as well.  I read a lot of the tweets from former players and said he was the funniest guy, always cracking jokes and making people feel comfortable.  Gone way too soon. Wife and two daughters.

Funny how you can feel for a guy you never knew, but you do.  One of those players I associate with that era in Detroit when they went from laughing stock to championship contender.  Poor guy moved on just before they made it.

    RIP

    Are you not entertained?!?!

if the leukemia wasn't enough he had to die from a fall

aint life a grand at times

my sympathies goes out to his family

Sounds like he had a heck of a good life.  Sometimes the good ones like that go early for some reason.  Lost a good friend to cancer.  Never seemed to have a bad day.  He taught me more than you can imagine.  Greatest guy youd wanna meet.

Sad.  I liked him as a player and he sounds like a good person.

Never liked Shawshank. Can't stand the hype and cult following.  So trite and predictable.
