    When you watch Jagr, outside of the obvious skill, you see the real difference maker:  Effort.  Guys with skill score points.  Guys with skill and this level of effort are rare.  Watching the video I posted, there is one goal where he loses the puck, but doesn't lose it, but does lose it, but doesn't lose it.  One hand on the stick, the other arm fighting a defender, he finally gets full control and beats the goalie.

    Another clip shows him on the give and go where he dishes it and charges the net, through two defenders, gets the return pass for the tip in.  Effort.

    You don't see him taking the easy way out, wasting shots that are going to be blocked 9,999 out of 10,000 times.  Instead, he puts the effort in to beat the defender.

    At the end of the game, we'll probably say, "We're all richer for having seen him tonight."*
