Zenon Zonopka gave the Isles and early second period lead only to have Keith Aulie tie it for the Leafs seconds later.  1-1.

    Meanwhile, back in Leafland.

    Interesting night.
The Oil are winning against the Wings.
3 point night between the Thrashers and Devils.
    The Sens beat the Bolts.

Looks like everybody behind the Leafs is coming on.

Even the lowly Isles won tonight, beating the... oh.  yah. anyways...

    5 teams within 7 pts.

We could get pick #4 even yet.

Did anyone else notice tonight during the Canadian national anthem that Kessel was signing along by mouthing the words?  The young American has turned Canadian...lol

And now 6-2.  Looking at the box score seems like Kessel got into some stick swinging with Bergenheim, each got 2 mins slashing.

a couple of more like that and they can start giving Reimer a night off. Then they have no chance....

I'd imagine they'll ride Reimer into the big game coming up Wednesday against the Canes despite tonight's performance.  Up here folks were wondering how the Leafs would respond after their huge win last Saturday vs Buffalo.  They seemed to lack that extra gear.

This won't help the Leaf cause as they try to qualify for the playoffs.  I just heard Colby Armstrong, arguably one of their more effective players nightly, broke a bone in his foot after stopping a shot.  Early results indicate he's out for the rest of the year.  As a physical player with a bit of a touch around the net, his loss is huge for that club.

Massive game tomorrow as they visit the Canes.  Huge for both teams.

That is a big loss.  Since he returned earlier from his other injury seemed to rlly the Leafs.
Also was always the best Leaf against the Bruins. Might not get the goals that Grabs got but is a pest and takes some Bruins out of their game.

Dammm Leafs 3 unanswered goals... 2 by Phaneuf on the PP.  3-1 for the Lafs.  Ward is terrible...how could he win a cup.

Carolina ran out of gas, the Bs hold the fate of the pick with two games against with Toronto.  Somehow that is not comforting. Ha.

Panthers 4, Leafs 0 with just over 1 minute left in the third period.  Media types up here today were talking this game up as a trap game against Florida's AHL team.  Its a final.  Florida over the Leafs 4-0.
