With a WIN tonight: TOR moves to 7th overall...

By Monday, TOR's #1 may be as low as 9th. If that situation presents itself PC must be pro-active and listen to offers out there. It's not the end of the world by any means, as he can easily wait 'till the Draft to trade it. However, there are a bunch of teams staggered together (within 7pts) from bottom 4th-12th. TOR will have 19-games left after tonight and have been playing well as of late (hate you Kessel!!!). Basically, one has to hope the dont go any better than 6-13 down the stretch. Most of the teams around them have a lighter schedule.

I'm hoping that schedule takes the wind out of their sails.  Some media-types up here expected a Leaf hot-streak because the pressure would be off regarding them making the playoffs plus it seems to be an annual thing with that club.  Here's to them being wrong about a period of strong play from them.

I know you've seen it, but the dingbats who are predictings the Leafs almost making the playoffs should look at their schedule.

Last game of the season vs. Habs - I think there will be  a memory of tonight.

    Bruins, Pitts, Flyers twice each.
    Chicago TB Detroit NJ Washington.

At this moment in time, aside NJ, 5 games against teams lower than them in the standings the rest of the year.

    That is a tough schedule.

If the Bruins had that schedule I'd be very concerned about someone getting dented for the playoffs.

Oh I can hear this already. PC got LUCKY when the Leafs finished 4th or 5th worst overall.  NO ONE predicted that.  EVERYONE thought the Leafs would be 9-13.

I always want injuries on both sides when they play....that to me would be a "win/win"

By 7th overall I suspect you mean the #7 pick in the draft.    The Leafs have a hard schedule ahead of them and there is a lot of hockey yet to be played.   Anywhere from #10 to #4 is possible.

The Bruins will not trade the pick unless a good deal is smacking them in the face, which won't happen since the value is dropping fast.  They don't have their own draft pick to fall back on so expect the B's to keep the TO pick and trade it in the offseason, at the draft, or to pick the best available player

Exactly. No way this pick gets traded. For anyone. Bs are already up against the cap and cannot afford to upset the chemistry of this team any further.

Finnswake that was a good video shot. Komisarek did show some humour and that is a good example what to do with player like Plekanec next time let it be Pacioretty, I'm just waiting for someone to clobber him.Cry

Not a big deal but even if this is what was meant it is actually 8th overall as there are 7 teams with less points than the Leafs.
