.....um....why do you state that the Lakers have been to the finals 7 times since 2000 and the Celtics have been their twice since 1987?

    Since 2000....Lakers 7.........Celtics 2........1-1 head to head

What you avoid is the fact that the decade of the 1990's is the only one in which both teams did not win a championship....post note....it is the only decade Boston did not win....the Lakers have two decades ('60s & '90s)

Oh and by the way....according to ESPN....Bynum very well may miss the beginning of the season....five years into his career and he has played 50 or more games twice....at the young age of 25....can you say...."damaged goods?"

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: "C's fans can BLAME Kobe for the Shaq trade" : It isn't about stubbornness. The Lakers made changes to the very end of their bench. Mbenga and Powell did not even make it in the games when the playoff rotation was set. This is about context, and that comparison is out of context. Sheed was a valuable piece in the playoffs, and so was Perkins. The roles of the players you lost were very different than those of Mbenga and Powell. Mbenga did nothing good, at all, and neither did Josh Powell. Ratliff plays defense and blocks shots, at least he does something well. Caracter is someone that might be able to be developed into something worthwhile, but Josh Powell wasn't ever going to be anything but a bottom feeder in the NBA.

So again, just so we're clear............YOu got better, but we didn't?  Are you sticking to that story?

[QUOTE]This is not about the Celtics, and should be moved. In addition, I refuse to answer any post written by anyone who claims Jerry West played for the MN lakers.............as Elias has!

You better refuse to post yourself, having said that Lew Alcindor's loss to Houston/Elvin Hayes was the only loss in his career...

Duke, personally I would have preferred the Celtics having been to the finals twice while the Lakers have been there 10 times since 1987.

    ...whatever.

    Cool

And was Alcindor's loss to UH/Elvin Hayes the only loss in his career? I bet you'll wimp out again...

It doesn't help. According to Duke, the years that the Celtics failed to make the finals didn't count. That's why he keeps bragging about the 17-4 and 9-3, as if the Celtics only played in the NBA for 21 seasons...

    So, Duke only counts 1957, 1958, 1959, 1960, 1961, 1962, 1963, 1964, 1965, 1966, 1968, 1969, 1974, 1976, 1981, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 2008, 2010.

All other years, the Celtics didn't play in the NBA, according to his thinking...
