    9 turnovers

It helps to have a real point guard.

    Chris33, very good point.

Against a good team, one that can shoot free throws, the 9 turnovers are wasted.  For THIS team, it needs more out of the PG position.  With 13 combined points out of the PG position, we win going away.

I thought the kid played pretty good for his first start.  The one nice jump shot he made was nullified by a moving screen.  Wish he could give us more offense (and Bayless).

I'm not whether Pressey won't shoot or can't shoot, if he develops some kind of shot he could actually be a decent PG.I thought Bayless played well last night but you can see sometimes he's not on the same page. He's not bad for a guy that joined the team mid road trip

Been saying it all season, they need a point guard, Pressy should be starting if they were playing to win, but they would showcase the tradeables.  Rondo will be an upgrade over Phil but he'll make a good backup.

He can't shoot. He makes Rondo look like Tim Legler.

Chill.  Nobody should be surprised.  It takes TIME for PGs to jell with a team, learn preferred moves by teammates, and develop on-court chemistry.

Rondo, or his replacement, will transition into the starting PG roll and Bayless will be our long term backup.  Pressey is a short term filler and will not be on the team next year.

Nobody's position on this team is guaranteed, this is a team in transition and everybody is trade bait if the deal looks right.  That being said Pressey would make a decent back up if he learns Steven's defensive system, Rondo isn't a dead eye shooter either but both can attack and lay it in as well as pass.

Pressey can shoot. He just needs more experience.

    Just like Bradley.

Everyone here was calling Bradley a bust when he was a rookie.

Phil is really doing great for an undrafted rookie. But if he doesn't learn to be a threat to score his time in the league will be schort! (A banned WORD!! REALLY???!!)

Strong passing and strong defense doesn't make up for playing 1 against 5 on offense in the playoffs.

In the last forty minutes Pressey has 14 assists and 1 turnover.

Rondo by comparison averages almost 4 turnovers per game.

In 2012 Rondo's final season with the big 3 before the injury yes, he averaged 3.6 turnovers per game placing him 5th in the NBA.  The four players who were worse than Rondo; Deron Williams, John Wall, Kevin Durant and Steve Nash.

The lesson learned here, if you are top ten in the NBA in minutes played, you will turn the ball over more than other players who aren't.  Turnovers don't improve with fatigue.

Rondo was also 4th best in assist to turnover ratio in the entire NBA so this is a lot to do about nothing.  A healthy Rondo is one of the best point guards in the NBA.

Last season Rondo average 3.9 turnovers per game, not 3.6.

And his turnovers per game have gone up every season he has played.

Rondo's PER last year would place him 14th on the list of point guards this year. Hardly one of the best point guards in the NBA.

That said, Rondo is one of the best point guards in the NBA when he wants to be. But he is too cool for school during the regular season. The playoffs are a different story.

If he could just learn to be taller his defense would improve.

Pressey isn't going anywhere @ $.5MM/yr .... He's a keeper until we need a roster spot for somebody better.
