Alot of mistakes this year - starting with Tony Allen

    Mistakes this year:

Tony Allen is playing outstanding for Grizzlies - did we use him wrong / couldve we used him better?

Erden for nothing (after developing him into a decent backup)?

Obviously the Perkins trade really hurt the interior defense and chemistry.

Banking our playoff success on Shaq's health.

Not giving Von Wafer / Arroyo to keep them fresh when they looked good at certain points.

Tony should have never left.  If it was over a small amount of money.  The guy is talent not to be ignored.  Big mistake.  We can still win however.

Good for TA, but he would be getting the same time this year, NOT starting.  Gonna bench Ray Allen for Tony??

Tony Allen got caught with the ball in his hands on two successive 24-second violations in crunch time last night.I don't miss that.Besides,he had no loyalty.Just another mercenary.

Wow, first Perk and now Erden has become a good player since we traded him. LOL

Erden was a project, he wasnt a good player in the NBA. He was also constantly hurt and unable to play..look at his box scores since he was traded, lots of DNP. We are not missing him at all.

TA is doing for the Grizz what he did for us in the playoffs...hustle, score around the rim and great defense.. Its nothing new, he didnt all of a sudden become a much better player..  He'd be a great guy to have on the C's but he still has his limitations... which are clumseyness with the ball and a liability in 1/2 court offense.

His defense & grit will be missed in the playoffs but as someone mentioned, his PT would have been limited.

I agree with you about Tony Allen.  I have posted similar thoughts many times.  Danny should have made sure that he resigned him after the season ended instead of letting him leave.   I thought it was a big loss when he left and didn't realize how much of a loss until Marquis was injured.  If Tony Allen was still with the team Perk wouldn't have been traded.  He is playing at a high level and would have been a great addition to the current Celtics team.

Everybody knows TA was a plus/minus. Whatever he did good, he'd offset a minute later with some bumbling move. And he was hurt more than he was well--come on, he wasn't 39 like Shaq! If we miss him, it's only a little. Miami is going to be tough, regardless of what subs we do or don't have, or whether we go with an O'Neal or a Perkins. But we can  do it: Go Celtics!

Look son, you don't have a clue about team game.  The Thunder defense has improved by ~10 points per game since his arrival.  Thanks for playing!

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Alot of mistakes this year - starting with Tony Allen : Right on the Tony Allen part, but wrong on the Erden and Perk part.  Krstic is better than Erden right now. And JO is healthy, better hands, can shoot from the outside, and a good FT shooter. If you watched the Celts in the 1st round then you're lying if you're going to tell us that Perk could have done better job at Center than JO against the Knicks.

I agree with you on this...  TA is fine when defending an opponent but seems clueless when the ball is actually in his hands.   If you noticed, towards the end of the game the Grizz were only using him on defensive sets and taking him out of the game on offense.   I am so glad this guy no longer plays for the C's.
