Brad Stevens = Jimmy Johnson?

Just wondering if the Celtic Nation is becoming or already sold on Brad Stevens? Does anybody see a little Jimmy Johnson in Stevens? I do not mean their demeanor but it sure looks like he will be a solid if not a Top quality NBA Coach in the near future. Both {if Stevens develops} are on a short list of College Coaches that succeeded after trading away older All Stars for MANY Draft picks. He and Ainge have a slew of those Draft Picks to work with and since he has recently been in the College game, I would think he would be able to add some solid input on the College Talent. Sorry for the Cowboys analogy Folks but it sure would mean good things if Coach Stevens could could develop as well as help Danny Ainge hit on a couple of those picks!

We all know Brad Stevens is a basketball genius.

The only question about Brad Stevens is can he handle players like Rajon Rondo?

If Stevens can bring out the best in Rondo then Stevens is right up there with Red Auerbach and Phil Jackson.
Seriously?   Can we let him coach a full season first?

    HAHAHAHAHAHAH

What inside information do you have that RR was difficult to coach?

Stotts has an All-Star big man in Aldridge, the rookie of the year last year, Lillard, and quality players like Nic Batum, Wes Matthews, and Robin Lopez.

So Portland obviously has a better team than Boston.   Whats your point?

Also, this is not Terry Stotts' first time coaching in the NBA.  So what does this mean,  he can't win COY?
all of this has absolutlely nothing to do with coach of the year.

Listen, we can argue all day long, but let's put it this way, back in May, after the Knicks eliminated the Celts, I said KG and Pierce would not return to the Celtics this season.

    You didn't believe me.

In fact, you said you would stop posting here for 1 year if KG and Pierce are not with the Celtics this season.

So if you don't believe me that Brad Stevens is a candidate for coach of the year, let's just wait a few months to see if I was right.
You are making things up now.  I never said he wasn't a candidate for coach of the year. Show me where I said it.  Stevens can't win it though if they tank.  Are they tanking?

So you want to talk bets again?

The real fact here is you welched on your bet with Jamez.  Everyone knows.  You were suppose to stop posting because you lost your bet.  You were flushed.

to clarify the terms of the bet, Fierce, in losing, will forfeit his rights to posting on the Boston.com forums for 5 months after the season ends. this means the end of the NBA season, NOT the Celtics season. Fierce is free to post throughout the playoffs. his posting rights end on midnight the night of the clinching Finals game.   sad to see u go, this board wont be the same w/o you, but..a deal is a deal, and i know you would have made me honor it had i lost.

The very accurate information that probably was rumored in the media by the Boston Press of course, and we all know that the media only publishes facts and not inuendo/rumors !!

    Sarcastically, Hetch
