Can we please get rid of Wallace?

He is pathetic. When he has the ball he almost always losses the ball. Speak about a non scorer and terrible passer.

Re: Can we please get rid of Wallace?

For some bizarre reason Wallace is completely unwilling to shoot the ball. It's the weirdest thing I have ever seen.

This makes him very predictable, and he is a terrible passer, so whenever he gets the ball, a turnover is soon the result.

i don't think it's unintentional. Wallace may be trying to make himself appealing to contender's by showing them he can adapt to the team and contribute in ways other than scoring.

WALLACE AND HUMP FOR AMARE , the Knicks would do it without a #1 , give em a couple of #2's and they would gladly dump Amare.......and couldn't the Celtics amnesty Amare next season ?

If not, he would be the ultimate deadline asset next season.

Plus, I think even at 20 minutes a game, Amare would help the Celts more than Hump and Wallace

    PS: WELCOME BACK KOBE !

I don't know why the C's don't just buy him out for say $20MM saving $10MM instantly and stretch the buyout over 7 years (2 X Contract Yrs Remaining Plus 1 Add'l Yr) for a cap hit each year of less than $3MM/yr.

Because he becomes most valuable when his contract is expiring.

    That's a good idea...is it possible?

It seems that the Celtics does'nt need him by the way.

but that's not for another 2 1/2 years ... in the meantime the $7MM saved each year can be better used elsewhere.

Yes, if they waive him then they stretch the entire contract amount over 7 yrs or they can negotiate a buyout and stretch that amount over 7 yrs. Being that Wallace (while not likely to be signed for nearly what he's making now) will be able to sign as a FA once bought out he might be willing to take a discount on his entire contract now in order to exit the C's and hook up with another team. Say another team is willing to sign him for 1 yr @ $5MM with an option on a 2nd yr at the same amount. Over the next three seasons he'd make $10MM from his new team and $20MM from the C's essentially collecting his entire original contract but playing for a team of his choice.

PS: Of course this would be the last thing Danny does ... 1st he holds out as long as possible to see if he can make a deal by the trade deadline. No sense in losing cap space until it becomes obvious that he is untradeable. Why give up more to trade him in value (player/pick) than you'd lose by waiving him and stretching that cost/cap space ($3MM???) each year?
