"Someone please tell Doc and Ainge that it takes a big man to win a title. Russell, Parish and Perkins all agree with me."

Who was the big man on the Heat last year? Perk, as much as I liked him, was totally ineffective against the Heat in the finals (though he did help OKC get past some other teams on the way there).

But yeah, we could use some more bigs, it's just not was important as it once was. It's not clear how we can get a good big though, because our team doesn't have any spare parts that any other team would want.

The two go to guys on the Celtics are 35 and 36 years old. They cannot be the go to guys exclusively.  Pierce needs to sit and come of the bench and play Green as many have suggested for thirty or so minutes.   If not working trade him by Dec. 15.

It's either time to start Green or trade Green. Go big and move PP to the SG spot. Green has got to realize this team needs production from him. Spot minutes aren't helping him and he needs plays drawn up for him to force him to become aggressive.

Those are not good signs for a supposed star player...but in his defense, I know that he is being asked to play a certain way, that will make him a better player in the long run, but looks lost for now.

No one is going to take Green in a trade.

    That's not true.

Green is just not a good fit with the Cs. But everybody can see he has talent.

And Green can't flourish because he's only getting 22 minutes per game!

and the Weak West is a better fit for him. They play the finnesse game that allows him to get out and run..The east play a brutal type of D that really cloggs the lanes and take ways much of what he does best.  The finals revealed this to the thunder. His mid range game is below par at this point. He may eventually get it, but for now, id does no help us.

Green is playing terrible at the moment. He had 0 - ZERO - boards in the last game. And people want him to start? He doesn't deserve to start with the way he is playing currently. What message would this make to the rest of the team? He has to earn a spot on the rooster!

Green's defense and lateral quickness combined with Pierce age make it almost impossible to start them at the 2 and 3. Green's non existing ability to defend the 4 spot or to grab a board makes a starting spot at 3 and 4 a bad move...ouch.

We should start KG, Bass, Pierce, Green, and Rondo.

Agree with both of you.  Green needs to be given the opportunity to start.  He may flourish in a starting role.   It is something that Doc should consider.
